How can I set up our Pipeline Methodology Type?
Your selection of a Pipeline Methodology Type configures data types in Veloxity CRM to fit your business process:
- Does your sales process involve capturing leads and converting them into opportunities? If you select that you capture leads and convert them into opportunities, your system will be configured with the Lead data type and include an automated conversion process to convert leads into opportunities.
- Do you work only with Opportunities? Does your business process not include leads? If you select that you work only with Opportunities, your system will not be configured with a Lead data type.
How can I set up our Company's Business Transaction Type?
The Business Transaction Type you select is used to optimize data records in the system.
Select the Business Transaction Type that best describes your company:
Business-to-Business (B2B): Accounts Records are automatically created when you add a new Lead or Opportunity Record.
A B2B Business Transaction Type represents a business whose customers are other businesses.
- Businesses who provide payroll services, companies who sell parts to automobile manufacturing companies, and web development companies are examples of B2B.
- B2B includes products and services sold to other businesses for business use: web development, supply and procurement exchanges, intermediaries.
Business-to-Consumer Transactions ( B2C): Account Records are not created when you add a new Lead or Opportunity Record.
A B2C Business Transaction Type represents a business whose customers are individual consumers.
- A restaurant, a retail store, and an e-commerce website selling products directly to individual consumers are examples of B2C.
- B2C includes products and services sold to consumers for personal use: landscaping, a cruise, a pair of shoes, a romantic dinner.
Both ( B2B and B2C): The system will prompt you to select whether or not to create an Account Record when you add a new Lead or Opportunity Record.
- An event management business may sell wedding services directly to an individual consumer (B2C) as well as provide conference management services to another business (B2B).
- Automobile manufacturing companies may sell vehicles to consumers (B2C) as well as sell vehicles to businesses (B2B).
- Software companies sell services to both individuals (B2C) and businesses (B2B).
