What are Contact Roles?
Definition
Contact Roles allow you to define the role a contact plays in the sales process. Contact Roles include role titles such as decision-maker, project manager, and technical influencer. These roles are often different than job titles and can change depending on the opportunity.
How can I use Contact Roles?
Contact Roles allow you to quickly locate the best contact to reach out to during different stages of the sales process.
Where can I find Contact Roles?
Contact Roles are found on Opportunity Records.
Contacts may play various roles at different times within an organization. For this reason, Contact Roles are configured for specific Opportunities.

How can I use Contact Roles?
How can I Add a Contact Role?
- Click Manage Contact Roles.
- Click the + (upper right-hand corner of Manage Contact Roles).

Select to either
- Add Role for Existing Contact
- Create a New Contact and Set Role
- Click Save.

How can I Edit a Contact Role?
- Click Manage Contact Roles.

Click the information you want to edit
- Select Contact
- Select Role Type
- Edit the information.
- Click OK.

How can I Delete a Contact Role?
- Click Manage Contact Roles.
- Click the row number of the Contact Role you want to Delete.
- Click the (upper right-hand corner of Manage Contact Roles).
- Click OK.
