What is Quick Search?
Definition
Quick Search enables searching for Data Records and Documents across the entire Veloxity CRM system.
Quick Search works by querying all data records for the data types selected for any fields containing the search terms.
How can I use Quick Search?
Use Quick Search when you need to quickly find information in Veloxity CRM.
Where can I find Quick Search?
Quick Search is located at the top center of the screen.

How can I use Quick Search?
How Can I Create a Quick Search?
- Enter your search terms into Quick Search.
- Select Types to Search by clicking the star next to the magnifying glass.
- Select one or more Searchable Data Types and click OK.
- Click the magnifying glass to run the search.
Tips for Using Quick Search
- Customize your Quick Search by selecting search criteria before running the search.
- When searching data types, the entered text is implicitly wild-carded on both sides. Wildcard is an advanced search technique that maximizes your search results. Wildcards are used in search terms to represent one or more other characters.
- When searching data types, all text fields are searched for a match, but numeric or date fields are not.

How can I Select Data Types to Search?
Selecting search criteria can result in faster search times and greater accuracy of search results.
- Click the star symbol next to the magnifying glass.
- Select Types to Search opens.
- Select the data types to be searched.
- Click OK.
Tip: Click inside the Quick Search box to display currently selected data types.
What are All Files and Quotes in Quick Search Data Types?
Selecting All Files and Quotes will search all of your linked Document Contents and Quotes for the search terms.
Advanced Quick Search Features
Create targeted hierarchical searches across data types using Target Your Search and Show Linked Data.
Tip: To use Advanced Quick Search features, you must be searching a single data type. If multiple data types are selected, Target Your Search and Show Linked Data will not be available.
For this demonstration, we will search for opportunities currently in the negotiation stage of the sales process.
- Enter the search term: negotiation
- Select a single data type: Opportunities
- Run the search
A table of results populates (if there is only one search result, the result is displayed as a data record):

Target Your Search
Perhaps you want to further refine this search to display the opportunities currently in the negotiation stage this month.
Do do this, use Target Your Search.
- Click Target You Search
- Enter the Search Term
- A new table of results populates
Notice how using Target Your Search filters the results. Any opportunities not being negotiated this week are removed from the table:

Show Linked Data
Perhaps you want to view additional data related to this opportunity.
To do this, use Show Linked Data.
- Click Show Linked Data
- Select Linked Data to display
- A new table of results populates
Notice how Show Linked Data filters the results. Any opportunities without linked Account and Activity records are removed from the table:
