What is Data Designer?

Data Designer allows for the detailed customization of data types in Veloxity CRM.

In Veloxity, data inputs feed machine learning, charts, and statistics to make your job easier and more informed.

Useful data is the cornerstone of CRM. Designing your data is key to the accuracy of this process:

Configure the attributes of data types to match your business process.
Specify relationships between data types.
Customize the data fields associated with each data type.
Create predefined system searches and charts and make them available to selected user groups.

Data Designer is the primary tool for customizing the data layer.

Veloxity CRM has a fully configurable data layer. No SQL coding or direct database access is required.

Data Designer gives you full access to your Data Types:

Data Designer is found in Veloxity App Setup.

On the Main Menu, click My Profile > App Setup > Data Designer

Click on the following links to access resources guiding you how to use each of the tools in Data Designer:

Feature Name	Description
Attributes	Specify the general attributes of the data type. When adding or editing data types several behavioral traits can be defined. These traits will affect how the data type appears in application menus, and what other features an end-user will see when using this data type.
Relationships	Specify the relationship between a selected data type and other data types defined in the system. This is where the allowable parent and children types for the new data type are defined.
Data Fields	Create or edit fields for the selected data type. Data Fields are the pieces of data that make up the data type. Examples of Data Fields include the following: Accounts: Industry, Tax ID, Billing City. Contacts: Last Name, Email, Mobile Phone.
Layouts	Create or assign layouts for this data type and assign them by user group/role. This feature allows different layouts to be used for different access privileges.
Group Access	Configure data access privileges by Data Field. Specify group-level access or field-level access by role for this data type.
Predefined Searches	Create or edit predefined searches specific to the selected data type. Preconfigure important searches to be always accessible to selected user groups.
Charts	Create or edit predefined charts specific to the selected data type. Preconfigure important charts to be always accessible to selected user groups.
